Would you like to gain in house experience within the UK’s 9th biggest pension scheme? We currently have a vacancy for a Corporate Pensions Actuary specialising in Investments.

As a Corporate Pensions Actuary, you will be reporting to Head of Corporate Pensions, this is a specialist actuarial role, within the Corporate Pensions team. You will be providing support, as appropriate, on all actuarial or financial matter relating to the Company’s pension schemes with a particular focus on investments.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to be part of the expansion of a leading pensions team. You will be given the opportunity to expand your experience by working on a wide range of projects within the Pensions team.

Additionally, we are recruiting an additional Pensions Actuary role within the Group Pensions team, for which more general pensions experience would be required.

Your main responsibilities as a Corporate Pensions Actuary – Investments will involve: 

Supporting the development and implementation of the overall pension strategy

Providing actuarial support as needed to the internal fund managers and Trustee investment committees

Supporting the development of corporate views on investment strategy and work closely with the internal fund managers and investment advisers to ensure alignment with valuation strategy

Responsibility for the day to day input to managing and monitoring risk management solutions

Supporting de-risking projects and activities including ALM, longevity hedging, member incentive exercises etc.

Developing and delivering management information in relation to pension investment and risk management

Your skills and qualifications as a Corporate Pensions Actuary – Investments:

Qualified Actuary (FIA status)

Actuarial experience within pensions and investment experience

Actuarial skills required and day to day work will include review of complex calculations and problem solving

Experience of working collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders

You would need to be highly numerical with good attention to detail. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build a rapport with your stakeholders.

Location: Farnborough (with regular travel to London as required)
