Job Details
London Market/Lloyd's insurer covering multi lines of business have created a new position for a Reserving Actuary.
Your work will cover the end to end reserve process and responsibilities will include building and developing tools for ceded reserve calculations, reporting, solvency II calculations and deal with requests from regulators, insurers, managers and make sure work meets actuarial standards. You will interact with senior stakeholders and team members and have opportunities to present at board level. This job will link with the core reserving team and the outward reinsurance team.
Looking for someone who wants to take ownership of their projects. As a new role within the reserving team, there is huge scope for role development and responsibilities.
Background
Must have 3 years minimum general insurance reserving actuarial experience. London Market preferable but personal lines will be considered. Experience with reinsurance and ceded reserves will be hugely beneficial.
Excellent IT skills with Excel, VBA, ResQ and SQL. Visualisation tools would be advantageous
Excellent written and verbal communication and experience with stakeholder relationship management
