As our Senior Market Pricing Analyst you will deliver the market pricing strategy to ensure VitalityHealth is at the forefront of the market resulting in achievement of volume and value objectives.

Responsibilities as our Senior Market Pricing Analyst include:

- Delivers commercial pricing strategies to improve sales and retention business performance whilst maintaining profitability levels and hitting the business plan metrics.

- Works closely with the Technical Pricing and Pricing Implementation teams to deliver enhancements to market pricing models using cutting edge statistical and pricing modelling techniques, refreshing analyses at agreed intervals.

- Build insights from our wider functions into our pricing models, including insights from Clinical Risk and the Vitality programme.

- Delivers enhancements to our pricing capability through the modelling and subsequent implementation of new rating factors and micro segmentation.

- Implements the customer lifetime value model, working closely with the Technical Pricing and Retention teams.

- Presents insight to key stakeholders in the Pricing Team.

- Builds relationships with other analysts to share best practice.

Skills and Experience required of our Senior Market Pricing Analyst:

Essential

- Degree in mathematical/statistics based subject

- Exposure to actuarial and/or pricing work

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong ability to analyse problems and develop structured solutions.

- Full IT literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint.

Desirable

- Member of Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), with some exams passed (over and above exemptions)

- Experience of working in a general insurance company

- Strong ability to develop skills in new software

- Experience of Earnix or Emblem pricing software

- Experience and understanding of GLMs and machine learning techniques

- SQL skills

- R and Python coding skills
