Job Description Summary

Senior Manager, Bulk Annuities is a role to lead the pricing and trading of bulk annuity transactions. Will work closely with a number of related teams as well as providing leadership within the annuity trading and pricing team.

The Insurance division entered the Bulk Annuity market three years ago and have successfully grown to be a key market participant. To continue our progression we are looking to hire a Senior Manager into the Pricing team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate drive, influence and an ability to cut through to the key issues.

In addition to your technical skills, you’ll know how to balance commercial awareness with putting our customers first. You'll be a strong communicator with the ability to effectively summarise and present complex information whilst leading the pricing element of new Bulk Annuity transactions.

You'll be responsible for the development of pricing models, possess strong Excel, pricing software and analytical skills, with good commercial awareness & attention to detail. You'll lead the pricing element of new transactions, enable targeted pricing competitiveness through accuracy / granularity of modelling and draft papers for the pricing committee.

You'll be an Actuary (or qualified by experience) with Bulk Annuity and industry experience, able to deputise for the Head of Pricing at senior committees, and drive collaborative working across functions to refine pricing basis and modelling capability.

You'll develop deal specific solutions, working closely with Origination and Structuring, demonstrate the application of a ‘deal mindset’, whilst having the softer skills to engage, influence and motivate at manager / senior manager level. Strong project management and organisational skills are key, alongside the ability to deliver in high pressure environments.

To be considered for this opportunity, you should be able to evidence defined benefit expertise and an in-depth knowledge of bulk annuity propositions gained from working in the industry either at a consultancy or a provider.
