Job Details

Our Client, one of the world's leading insurance brands, is looking for a Life Assurance Actuary, with a minimum of three years post qualification experience. The role, which resides within the Actuarial Function, will initially be in relation to IFRS and other related actuarial projects. The ideal candidate must be comfortable liaising with key stakeholders, including the C-Suite. Therefore this is a really exciting role, providing the successful candidate with senior management exposure and a great development opportunity.

The successful candidate will be strongly involved in the IFRS 17 project as well as a Finance transformation program and will be expected to establish him-/herself as a key driver of this program.

It is unclear where this role will end up in the longer term but it is very likely to evolve into a senior reporting role once the project is live or perhaps continuing onto the next big development.

Given the rate of development and the growth in the Company at the moment there are plenty of opportunities right now and to come.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support of the project management of a major finance project which includes IFRS 17 alongside a finance transformation initiative;
  • Involvement in current and upcoming commercially driven actuarial projects;
  • Liaising with multiple business units, both locally and internationally;
  • Stakeholder management also of senior management;
  • Coordination of new model developments;
  • Support the set-up and shape the profile of the new actuarial project team;

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge:

  • Qualified actuary;
  • Strong actuarial background – ideally involved in the implementation of regulations or processes relating to reporting and modelling;
  • Project management experience;
  • Senior stakeholder management up to C suite level;
  • Competent at networking and liaising with other business units;

Experience of any of the following would be an advantage but is not essential: Cross-border experience or experience of IFRS 17.
