Job Details

My client is a leading multinational reinsurer based in Dublin who is looking to hire a Qualified actuary for their life insurance actuarial department. This role will involve leading new business acquisition which delivers client-centric reinsurance solutions, and will play an important part in the development of the company's Life and Health strategy. International travel will be involved in this role.

Duties of this Senior Pricing Actuary role will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Pricing: Determine new business opportunities, manage internal relationships and successful acquisition and on-boarding, set and analyse pricing assumptions, present pricing developments to Senior Management
  • Local Marketplace and Regulation: Keep informed with the changing regulatory environment, contribute to discussions regarding new business, product development and economic solvency capital requirements
  • Marketing and Strategy: Support Life and Health strategy development and implementation, represent the team at internal Group workshops, identify opportunities to support Business Centres within the Group

Ideal candidates will be a Qualified Actuary with extensive experience in the life insurance industry. International reinsurance experience is beneficial.  Strong analytical and technical skills as well as good influential communication skills are required.
