Reporting to the Director of Actuarial, you will support internal and external forecasting and manage the team responsible for model development and reporting, and internal consulting, with a particular focus on setting and maintaining appropriate modelling and reporting frameworks.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Support the Director in the design and implementation of complex actuarial projects with particular focus on modelling and reporting frameworks
• Lead a multi-disciplined team of talented data modelers, actuarial specialists, and analytics experts
• Serve as the subject matter expert on the risk adjustment models across lines of business
• Design and implement new products and develop solutions that transform the industry
• Coordinate with teams in multiple locations to drive paradigm shifting service modelling
• Maintain the necessary communication and coordination with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients
• Develop management talents necessary to obtain short- and long-range goals
• Direct immediate subordinates in the management of their assigned areas to ensure that their responsibilities and performance are met in a way that is consistent with established policies and programs
• Assist actuarial efforts that affect new and existing business
• Assist in the development actuarial data architecture and assumption setting
Required Experience & Qualifications:
• People management experience
• Extensive experience of managing risks and controls of complex models
• Extensive knowledge of concepts and methodologies in general insurance
• Experience driving new actuarial solutions from design to completion
• Experience managing innovation-driven functions (ex. R&D, analytics)
• Excellent communication and presentation style
• Proven experience in a related job capacity (analytics, actuarial, underwriting, actuarial pricing, finance)
