The School of Chemical Engineering are looking to recruit a Teaching Fellow or Teaching Focussed Lecturer to teach undergraduate, postgraduate or CPD students in Industrial Project Management, managed by a senior member of staff with responsibility for the design, delivery and assessment of the wider programme.

The successful candidate will be required to teach courses at a range of levels within project management and related business and industrial subjects, and to deliver the lectures and seminars, to meet the teaching objectives. 

Teaching Fellows will:

  • Teach the theory and practice in Project, Programme and Portfolio management in an Industrial Setting. 
  • Provide project management to the planning, organisation and delivery of modules. Gaining feedback and generating improvement plans.
  • Teach courses at a range of levels within project management and related business and industrial subjects. 
  • Deliver lectures and seminars, to meet the teaching objectives.

Lecturers will

  • Provide project management to the planning, organisation and delivery of modules. Gaining feedback and generating improvement plans.
  • Lead developments to increase funding through the improvement of current course and extended offerings in Undergraduate and Postgraduate (CPD) courses.
  • Develop of new offerings e.g. Graduate Apprenticeships and pathway options in collaboration with other areas of the University.

Successful candidates for either role will be required to have:

  • Higher degree relevant to research or teaching area or equivalent qualifications
  • Competent in analysis, theory and a degree of the practical application of project management
  • Ability to lead, design and deliver module materials successfully, engagingly to a target audience.
  • Ability to assess and organise resources effectively
  • Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes
  • Collaborative, engaging, self-motivated.

Teaching Fellow - Full time starting salary is normally in the range £30,395 to £39,609. With potential progression once in post to £42,036 a year.

Lecturer - Full time starting salary is normally in the range £40,792 to £48,677. With potential progression once in post to £54,765 a year

HOURS: Fixed-term for up to 3 years

DURATION: Full-time
