Role purpose

A challenging and exciting opportunity has come about for an Underwriting Performance Manager to join a market leading UK brand.

This role offers you the opportunity to take on diverse technical and managerial tasks, cutting across different functions within the business.

Specifically, you will deliver expert technical and analytical underwriting support to achieve performance targets and the Home Underwriting strategy, manage the delivery of change within Home Pricing & Underwriting, ensure appropriate reporting is in place across relevant trading and risk forums, liaise with teams and stakeholders across the business, and manage and develop a team of direct reports.

This is an excellent opportunity to make the most of your combined commercial awareness and leadership skills and innovate the business offering of a highly regarded UK brand.

Key criteria

  • Numerical degree
  • General insurance experience in underwriting or pricing, ideally in household
  • Knowledge of SAS is required
  • DipCII or equivalent professional qualification is desirable
  • Strong people management skills
