My client, a leading international insurer, is looking for a Junior Actuarial Analyst to join their dynamic Actuarial team reporting directly into the Chief Actuarial Officer. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to pursue a long-term career within the actuarial domain.

In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the in-house Dashboard MI system (Excel, Access, SQL). You will have a gradual build-up of exposure to all other aspects of the actuarial function such as Pricing: large accounts with complicated layered structures, Reserving: quarterly using professional package, Reinsurance: assessment of use and effectiveness, Capital modelling: ICA and Solvency II (embedding the models), Underwriting support: assisting underwriters with analysis or interpretation of numbers and reports.



Desired requirements for this position…

  • Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Actuarial Sciences or other analytical/mathematical areas.
  • Sound understanding of the Insurance Market and the Actuarial function within an Underwriting company.



Good systems knowledge i.e. MS Excel, Access and other computer software tools
