Role purpose:

An exciting new opportunity has come about for an Actuarial Analyst with Reserving experience looking to progress in their career and step up in responsibility.

In this role, you will work directly with the Head of Reserving, acting as their deputy where appropriate, and also gain insight into other areas of the actuarial function.

Specifically, you will take on tasks such as model building and maintenance, Solvency II technical provisions, producing relevant management information, planning of reserving work, reviewing the work of junior analysts in the team, and contributing to actuarial function reporting. Additionally, you will have the chance to work in other areas of the actuarial department such as capital, pricing or reinsurance on a project basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills broadly and enhance your stakeholder management and leadership skills when interacting with different Heads Of and the risk department.

Key Criteria:

  • Part to Nearly Qualified Actuary – CT exams completed
  • General Insurance Reserving experience
  • Desirable: Solvency II knowledge, experience in areas other than reserving
  • Strong communicator, able to deputise, self-starting attitude
