HOAF Life Role - Dublin

Our client is a large multinational company that is looking to hire a highly experienced life actuary to fill the role of Head of Actuarial Function. The role will involve leading the actuarial team and driving the company towards its commercial goals. They will ensure the company meets all its regulatory and statutory obligations, and play a key part in the company’s future development.

Responsibilities of the role include;

  • Production and calculation of the company’s technical provisions
  • Advising the company’s Board of Directors. The candidate will be their key source for all actuarial matters
  • Critical analysis of the underwriting policy and reinsurance arrangements of the company
  • Playing an active role in the enhancement of the company’s financial position through influencing decisions being made at the very top of the company.                                                                                                                                                                                   

Actuaries interested in this role should meet the following requirements;

  • At least 10 years experience in the life insurance industry
  • At least 4 years PQE
  • Experience with the CBI Domestice Actuarial Regime and related governmental requirements under Solvency II
  • Experience in actuarial management is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The successful candidate will need to meet the CBI's fitness and probity standards as interpreted by our client.
