If you are a Lead Actuary who likes strict regimented structures and enjoys out - of - date red taped procedure because “it’s always been done that way” then this isn’t going to be the role for you.
If you are bound by corporate structures and perhaps find getting up in the morning is becoming more monotonous and that driven, ambitious fire is dwindling. There is another way.
I am working in partnership with a firm who is looking for a lead actuary, someone who is innovative in nature, entrepreneurial and who will enjoy fresh challenges on the DB side working with both Trustee boards and Sponsoring Employees
If you can perform under pressure, take ownership of client accounts and communicate to less experience members of your team in a calm and simple manner, you may have all the characteristics to help this top tier mid - market firm continue on there upward trajectory and help them make a statement.
Aspects of the role include;
- Developing prospects, tendering/pitching for new business, and developing existing client business
- Participating in the management and training of more junior staff employees to develop the consulting capabilities of the office
- Providing input to the strategic direction of the firm and the Birmingham office
- Contributing to the technical knowledge of the Practice and office via continuing professional development and peer review of colleagues’ work.
This role will be filled by an Actuary who holds a Scheme certificate and has led advice on both the corporate and trustee side of things.
