Job Description/Key Responsibilities

Main duty of the role will be to provide the link between the actuarial reinsurance team, system teams and reinsurers. Responsible for the design and testing of premium and accounts calculations and other related projects.

Main duties of the role will be to;

  • Assist in the testing and sign-off of policy & reinsurance system releases from an actuarial product development perspective
  • Ensure that the reinsurance premium calculations are correct and that monthly accounts are produced in line with all treaty requirements
  • Ensure the system architecture is in line with the specification in the product design stage
  • Identify areas where the systems are not built according to the specification and rectify them with the support of the system developers
  • Prepare relevant documentation for quarterly review meetings with reinsurers
  • Communicate the project progress to management and project stakeholders

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

  • A Levels or equivalent in a technical/analytical subject
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Visual basics for Excel, Pivot tables
  • Experience of data analysis
  • Excellent data analysis skills (advanced excel, access, visual basics etc.)
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Excellent communication skills, both formal and informal
